“And it’s goodbye from him.”, “And it’s goodbye from him.”, “And it’s goodbye tumblr” Yep as we announced some time ago we are no longer using tumblr. Given that we are now extremely famous and have our own personal rose petal scatterers tumblr just doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to controlling what we do.

Quite rightly you are limited as to what you can do with your ‘free’ tumblr site but we also found the built in RSS feed to be flakey too. To add insult to injury we needed two feeds, one for mp3 and one for .ogg and this was never going to happen unless we hosted our own site.

tumblr has served us well as a ‘free’ service and any budding podcaster out there who is looking to start out with little to no costs I’d definitely point them here.

We have now changed the original feed for this site feeds.feedburner.com/TheDickTurpinRoadshow so that it no longer points here but (Hopefully) to our new home at tdtrs.co.uk 

All that’s left to say is “So long tumblr and thanks for all the fish.”

Matt is is left ‘holding the baby’ this episode as Pete decides there’s something far better on the TV than entertaining the great unwashed masses of the FOSS community. Given Matt’s chronic monophobia as reported in the Lower Piddle Gazette last Tuesday, Les Pounder (AKA lesp) and Jon Spriggs (AKA jontheniceguy) step in for a threesome with Matt.

We hear how Pete was let down by  Jon’s personal URL shortening service disapearing up its own jaxy which in turn broke just about every link on the shows website. As you would expect from a typical FOSS member it’s all someone else’s fault and anyway “I didn’t think he would use it here there and everywhere.“ 

Room x1101 makes a comeback with Flash being the target of Matt’s venom but flash finds an unlikely ally in jontheniceguy! Les finally reveals the only reason he came on the show was to pimp Ucubed and bleats on and on about it.

Yet again the team manage to hoodwink some poor unsuspecting victim guest co-host on to the show. Shane Marks is a game developer and ‘Person of interest’ to the Irish police. If you like trying to decipher Pete’s accent and phrases you’re gonna love this bearded leprechaun.

The guys discuss Android coming back into the Linux fold and Pete tells us how a listener solved his texting gripes with a Google app ‘MightyText’.

Room x1101 makes a long overdue comeback with a suggestion from Shane but Matt and Pete deny all responsibility for the the subject matter and force him to introduce it.

Matt tells us what he watches on the TV of a morning while sat in his PJ’s eating rice crispies and the team are overwhelmed at the new listeners they are getting even if they don’t know how tdtrs likes emails to the show to start and it’s not “Hi Guys”.
